Sleep Walking

Hello to all. We hope you are all well and things a good in your lives. Around here we have all been so busy. I feel like we are sleepwalking at this point. It is always like this during this time of year. Lets see what has been going on....

Cody is busy with school. He played with the band last night at the Jr High football game. It was their first game to play at as 7th graders. He loved it. It was very, very cold. But it was fun. It brought back a rush of memories from my high school days being there at the stadium again. However this marks the end of an era in Harrison. Tonight is the last game to ever be played by the senior high down at the feild on the banks of crooked creek. The new stadium for the high school is nearly finished and will be in use next year.

He has also made the pep band and has received high honors in band for the quarters. His grades are good, and things really seem to be going great for him right now.

Abby has started basketball. Her first game is this Saturday. She currently still has three boyfriends. And she is doing great. Her first quarter went very well. She has great grades and is thriving in school. She had a good Halloween. She dressed in her fairy outfit and passed out candy all night to the barrage of ghouls and goblins that arrived.

Evan is great. Doing the same thing as always. Working and sleeping. Though suddenly he finds his sleep very valuable since he isn't getting any. Chasing the kids turns out to be a hard job after all. He just celebrated his birthday. He turned a whopping 38! It seems he can justify his gray hair with his age!

I am good. We spent last weekend at Stoney's new home. It is beautiful. I am very proud for him. This weekend we are having Evans family up for a chili dinner. It is sort of a late birthday party for Evan. We are trying to nail down holiday plans with everyone. It is just crazy! Cody will probley go to coaches for Thanksgiving and I believe that we are headed to Jim and Judys this year. Let me be the first to thank them for that... I love the idea of getting some free time this year! And of coarse during December we have 4 birthdays, 2 anniverseries, and Christmas 4 times.

So you could say we are all short of sleep and money before this is over. Our family tradition is to sleep through January. LOL

We hope to hear from everyone soon. All our love to all of you. Shelly and the gang!

heading for the holidays

Hello all! It is time to start slipping into the holiday season once more. I want to rub in the fact that I have over half of mine bought and wrapped already! So this year it is Thanksgiving with Evans family at his aunt Judys! We are most excited to be sharing the holidays with those transplant northerners. I am glad to have them in our happy band down here. Of coarse then it is Birthday season around here for most of my family. I am sure we will do cake sometime. Then Christmas at Aunt Diana's on the 15th, here on the 23rd, Stoney's on the 24th.

Yes folks it is a marathon of rushing, eating, giving and receiving! The kids are most looking forward to this. As for right now at the moment.... Evans birthday is this weekend! He turns a whopping 38! He is getting really old. We are headed to Stoney's new home this weekend to really break it in right.... 4 kids running around like mad usually does it right. Of coarse Halloween is upon us as well. We usually do a chili dinner and scarey movies with the kids. No trick or treating for us... not fond of the kids eating meth or LSD.... I buy candy.

Anyway that kind of puts things in perspective for us over the next couple of months. Busy, busy. Oh yeah don't forget the kids concerts, games, rehearsals, practices.... ect. Its enough to help anyone drop 5 lbs!

Catching Up

Hello again! It seems we are headed at fall with full speed (this is my personal favorite time of year). I guess it is time to update all about things at our house. So lets start with our leading man...

Evan is back at the grindstone with Walmart. He has enjoyed his time home with the family. Though we haven't done much on the interesting side... it is just what the doctor ordered. We needed some quiet time to learn to be a functional family again. And I beleive we have succeeded! Evan will be celebrating his 38th birthday this month. I have not decided on a prty or not... probley a mix between the kids halloween and his birthday will do.

Cody is loving the band. He marched for the first time in public at the Harrison Distric Fair parade. He had a blast. I must admit it was fun to watch him "toot his horn". He has his first Chior concert on Tuesday. I can't wait to see how that goes.

Abby is her normal self. She has started basketball again this year. We are looking forward to another great season from her...(last year was chalked full of things like cartwheels while she in the middle of the game). She says she has 3 boyfriends now... but when I ask her if THEY knew that they were her boyfriends she simply replied " not yet, but they really don't need to know, Mom". Ahh the joys of raising a girl! Also we were most excited that she can nw get her hair into pigtails!

Me well lets just say it is the same ole same ole. I have applied for a job with a company that cares for seniors in thier own homes. I have been hired but as of yet not at work. This company is just now breaking into the Harrison area. So I am sure as clients become available I will get busier. Anyhow, until things do kick up I am content to take care of my family and prepare for the holidays.

Thanks for taking time out of your days to keep up with us... for those of you we haven't seen in a while remember we love you and keep you in our prayers. For those of you we see often, hopefully you know how much we love you.

time flies

Hello to all. The lastest update is that we are getting ready to be back in the swing of things. Evan is going to start back to work on Monday. The kids of coarse are in school. And I am starting to apply for some part time jobs. We will see if that is going to work out or not. It is hard to find an employer who will work with my scheduale and Evan coming and going.

Cody is going to start marching with the band net week. He is rather excited about all that. He has also been givin a place on the UAAA baseball team for this year. That is real exciting news for all of us.

Evan wanted me to add that he has started a fantasy football league. Of coarse Cody is real excited about that. Myself I can do without it. But we ALL have plans on fantasy baseball for this upcoming year.

Also for you music lovers out there we have started trying to play on Tuesdays with Shawn. So grab your guitars and give us a call for the time. All are welcome.

That is all for now.... catch you on the fly!

Well Gang... We are once again a family, whole and complete. Evan is home again and in fine health. He might have even gained a few pounds while gone (if not then definatly since he got home). We have spent the last week trying to get into a familuar groove as a family. It has been fun.

Shawn came by and gave us a big hello. There is plans to go to our parents respective homes this weekend, and shortly coming is a roundevous to meet up with friends David and Candy. We have stayed busy. Of coarse since Evan is home again the music is back in full swing. We are back to playing guitar. We invite all our friends to play with us. Currently working on "Linger" by the Cranberries. Also "Kid Fears" by the Indigo Girls.

So till next week love to you all. God Bless and stay safe.
