heading for the holidays

Hello all! It is time to start slipping into the holiday season once more. I want to rub in the fact that I have over half of mine bought and wrapped already! So this year it is Thanksgiving with Evans family at his aunt Judys! We are most excited to be sharing the holidays with those transplant northerners. I am glad to have them in our happy band down here. Of coarse then it is Birthday season around here for most of my family. I am sure we will do cake sometime. Then Christmas at Aunt Diana's on the 15th, here on the 23rd, Stoney's on the 24th.

Yes folks it is a marathon of rushing, eating, giving and receiving! The kids are most looking forward to this. As for right now at the moment.... Evans birthday is this weekend! He turns a whopping 38! He is getting really old. We are headed to Stoney's new home this weekend to really break it in right.... 4 kids running around like mad usually does it right. Of coarse Halloween is upon us as well. We usually do a chili dinner and scarey movies with the kids. No trick or treating for us... not fond of the kids eating meth or LSD.... I buy candy.

Anyway that kind of puts things in perspective for us over the next couple of months. Busy, busy. Oh yeah don't forget the kids concerts, games, rehearsals, practices.... ect. Its enough to help anyone drop 5 lbs!

Catching Up

Hello again! It seems we are headed at fall with full speed (this is my personal favorite time of year). I guess it is time to update all about things at our house. So lets start with our leading man...

Evan is back at the grindstone with Walmart. He has enjoyed his time home with the family. Though we haven't done much on the interesting side... it is just what the doctor ordered. We needed some quiet time to learn to be a functional family again. And I beleive we have succeeded! Evan will be celebrating his 38th birthday this month. I have not decided on a prty or not... probley a mix between the kids halloween and his birthday will do.

Cody is loving the band. He marched for the first time in public at the Harrison Distric Fair parade. He had a blast. I must admit it was fun to watch him "toot his horn". He has his first Chior concert on Tuesday. I can't wait to see how that goes.

Abby is her normal self. She has started basketball again this year. We are looking forward to another great season from her...(last year was chalked full of things like cartwheels while she in the middle of the game). She says she has 3 boyfriends now... but when I ask her if THEY knew that they were her boyfriends she simply replied " not yet, but they really don't need to know, Mom". Ahh the joys of raising a girl! Also we were most excited that she can nw get her hair into pigtails!

Me well lets just say it is the same ole same ole. I have applied for a job with a company that cares for seniors in thier own homes. I have been hired but as of yet not at work. This company is just now breaking into the Harrison area. So I am sure as clients become available I will get busier. Anyhow, until things do kick up I am content to take care of my family and prepare for the holidays.

Thanks for taking time out of your days to keep up with us... for those of you we haven't seen in a while remember we love you and keep you in our prayers. For those of you we see often, hopefully you know how much we love you.
